Last updated 21 October 2026. This notice explains what personal information YourAppy collects through this website, why, and what your rights are.
Who we are
YourAppy is a web design and app development studio based in Sussex, UK. We are the controller of the personal information described here. You can contact us about anything in this notice at info@yourappy.com.
What we collect
When you send us an enquiry using a form on this site, we collect the details you give us: your name, email address, phone number (if you provide it), the type of project, your rough budget (if you choose one) and your message. We also record which page the form was sent from.
If you email us directly, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.
How we use it
We use your information only to reply to your enquiry, discuss your project and, if you go ahead, provide our services. Our lawful bases are taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us. We never sell your information or add you to a mailing list without asking.
Who we share it with
- Formspree processes our contact form submissions and forwards them to us by email.
- GitHub Pages hosts this website and may log technical information such as IP addresses for security purposes.
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces on this site, so your browser connects to Google's servers when pages load.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they use appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or equivalent.
Cookies
This website does not set any tracking or advertising cookies. If that ever changes, we'll update this notice and ask for your consent where required.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for up to 24 months so we can refer back to past conversations, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. If you become a client, we keep project and billing records for as long as the law requires (usually six years).
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to data portability. To use any of these rights, email info@yourappy.com.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.
